HINTERLAND (2007)

At the end of 2006 I was nursing my cat Ollie, who was dying of cancer and who died while these works were painted. These paintings are a measure of time. They reflect feelings of change and awareness as much as they express loss. "Hinterland", the land behind metaphysically speaking - beyond the physical realm of which spirits are a part.
